SmileMakers has been a proud corporate sponsor of America's ToothFairy® since 2012. As a resource provider, America's ToothFairy® increases access to oral health care by supporting nonprofit clinics and community partners delivering education, prevention and treatment services for underserved children. They work to ensure all children can access dental care and learn about oral health.
SmileMakers is committed to partnering with America's ToothFairy® in this endeavor, supporting both the national office and the Affiliate Network - which examines and treats hundreds of thousands of children a year - by providing needed supplies for patients and events. Through our annual sponsorship of the Smile Drive in conjunction with National Children's Dental Health Month each February, SmileMakers has provided over 1,020,000 stickers, more than  650,000 toothbrushes, and thousands of other dental hygiene products for America's ToothFairy® and her Affiliates to use as rewards and to promote good oral hygiene to the children they treat.

Prisma Health SmileMakers Child Life Fund

Established in 2022, the SmileMakers Child Life Fund benefiting Prisma Health Children's Hospital was created to enable the Child Life department at Prisma Health to meet the needs of the thousands of children they see each year. Whether inpatient, outpatient, or through home visits, Child Life Specialists educate, assist, and support children and their families during medically challenging periods, and SmileMakers is proud to support the Child Life Specialists in their endeavors!

World Health Dental Organization

SmileMakers is pleased to partner with World Health Dental Organization in their mission to bring high-quality dental education and care to people in need around the world. Sponsorships like ours allow the World Health Dental Organization to dismantle the barriers that rural communities face in accessing life-changing dental care and empowering communities through education. WHDO is also investing in future generations of healthy teeth and gums by collaborating with local educators to develop and implement culture- and age-appropriate dental care curricula.

Hope Center for Children

SmileMakers Associates participate in multiple events each year in support of the Hope Center for Children. From planting pinwheel gardens to raise awareness of child abuse, collecting much-need hygiene and daily living supplies for the center, being a match sponsor for Giving Tuesday fundraising events, stuffing envelopes for donation request mailings, to helping to paint, clean and furnish bedrooms in a remodeled facility – we gladly give of our time and money to support this worthwhile organization dedicated to building stable, healthy families, and providing children throughout South Carolina a safe place from abuse and neglect.

SmileMakers Donates Plush Puppies to Local Children's Hospitals

Giving back is part of the SmileMakers culture, and we're always looking for ways to create more smiles! Giving Tuesday, celebrated each year on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, provides the perfect opportunity to make an impact in our community. In honor of Giving Tuesday 2020, SmileMakers donated 4,794 plush puppies to two very deserving children's hospitals. Our hope was that the SmileMakers exclusive plush would provide comfort to children undergoing treatments and procedures throughout Prisma Children's and Levine Children's systems.

And it sounds like that's exactly what happened! As one very happy recipient told us "You have no idea how much of a blessing those dogs have been! We shipped them out to just about every practice in the Upstate that provides care to children. We have heard such an overwhelming response to how thankful the practices are! We have even been able to use them for kids who are in our COVID testing lines as incentive. It has even boosted the morale of staff who have to administer those tests. THANK YOU, THANK YOU!"

Laugh for A Child - Benefiting Healthy Smiles of Spartanburg

SmileMakers is proud to be a long-term supporter of Healthy Smiles of Spartanburg! We're honored to offer continued sponsorship to this local organization through their Laugh for a Child event each year.

Healthy Smiles advocates and promotes the health of Spartanburg County children through free community dental health screenings and education and free oral health services for qualifying children.

Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina

Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina (SHFBM) strives through education, advocacy, and partnerships to eliminate hunger by the solicitation and distribution of food. Serving 19 counties in North and South Carolina, SHFBM distributes 55 million pounds of food annually through over 700 partner agencies.

SmileMakers Associates participate in an annual food drive to support this organization. In the last year we collected 753 pounds of food to be distributed to our neighbors.

Children's Advocacy Center of Spartanburg, Cherokee and Union

The mission of the Children's Advocacy Center is to heal and give voice to abused children through assessment, treatment, education, and community partnerships. CACSP provides an array of services to child victims of physical and sexual abuse and their families.

SmileMakers is pleased to provide therapy prizes that make it easier for the team at CACSP to give these children much needed healing and help bring a smile to their faces.

Habitat for Humanity of Spartanburg County

Habitat Spartanburg mobilizes volunteers and sponsors to build houses for low-income, deserving families in a pay-it-forward model.

SmileMakers Associates gladly contribute their time and talents to support Habitat in this life-changing endeavor. From 2016 to 2020, SmileMakers Associates donated over 135 hours of service to this cause.

The Blood Connection

Each year, SmileMakers host multiple blood drives supporting The Blood Connection of Spartanburg in their mission to support healthcare partners with adequate, safe, cost-effective blood supplies and services. Since 2016, SmileMakers Associates have donated over 100 pints of blood for our friends and neighbors in need.

Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child

The mission of Operation Christmas Child is to provide God's love in a tangible way to children in need around the world. 2019 was the first year that SmileMakers Associates chose Operation Christmas Child as a holiday project. Associates filled 55 boxes with toothbrushes and other hygiene items, stickers and toys, acting on SmileMakers company mission To Make Smiles Happen.
